Privacy Policy

This Policy explains what personal information MainCross handles and how it is protected.

1. About this Policy

MainCross is an Australian software platform for racquet stringers and players. This Policy applies to information handled through the MainCross website, player portal, stringer portal and public shop pages.

2. Information we collect

Depending on how you use MainCross, we may collect:

  • your name, email address and account authentication information;
  • optional contact details you choose to provide;
  • shop names, descriptions, general locations, social links and profile images;
  • racquet details, stringing requests, job specifications, prices and status history;
  • ratings, comments, cancellation notes and other information you submit;
  • product feedback, optional reply email and the page it was submitted from;
  • basic technical, security and diagnostic information, such as IP address, browser information and service logs.

Public shop details are displayed only when a stringer provides them. Stringers should not publish information they want to keep private.

3. How we use information

We use personal information to:

  • create and secure accounts;
  • operate player, stringer, shop, racquet, request and job features;
  • send authentication, request, order and job-status emails;
  • review product feedback, investigate reported problems and reply when requested;
  • provide support, investigate errors and prevent misuse;
  • maintain records selected by users; and
  • comply with legal obligations and protect legal rights.

We do not sell personal information or use it for third-party advertising.

4. Information shared between users

MainCross shares job information with the relevant player and stringer so they can request, confirm, perform and track a restringing job. A stringer's selected shop and contact details may appear on their public shop page. Player feedback is shared with a stringer only when the player chooses to share it.

5. Service providers

MainCross uses service providers to operate the platform. These currently include Supabase for authentication, database and file storage, Resend for operational email delivery, and website hosting and infrastructure providers. They process information only to provide services to MainCross and under their own security and privacy obligations.

6. Overseas processing

Some service providers may process or store information outside Australia. The countries involved can change as providers update their infrastructure. MainCross takes reasonable steps to use reputable providers and protect information when it is processed overseas.

7. Data retention

We keep information for as long as reasonably needed to provide account, racquet, shop and stringing-history features, meet legal obligations, resolve disputes and protect the service. Information may be deleted or de-identified when it is no longer required. Some records may remain where another user has a legitimate service history, such as a stringer's record of completed work, even if a player removes a racquet from their bag.

8. Necessary cookies

MainCross uses cookies and similar browser storage that are necessary for authentication, session security and remembering a user's login choice. MainCross does not currently use these technologies for third-party advertising. Blocking necessary cookies may prevent login and account features from working.

9. Security

We use reasonable technical and organisational safeguards, including access controls, encrypted connections and database row-level security. No internet service is completely secure, so users should protect access to their email account and report suspected misuse.

10. Access, correction and deletion

You may update available account, shop and racquet information through MainCross. You may also request access to, correction of or deletion of personal information, subject to records MainCross or another user is legally entitled or required to retain. Identity may need to be verified before a request is completed.

11. Children's information

MainCross is not designed for children to create and manage accounts without appropriate parent or guardian involvement. A parent or guardian may request review or deletion of a child's personal information where applicable.

12. Privacy complaints

MainCross will review privacy concerns and take reasonable steps to investigate and respond. Contact information for privacy requests will be published before MainCross opens for public use.

13. Changes to this Policy

MainCross may update this Policy when its features, providers or legal obligations change.
